Galaxy owl

This is so beautiful! I love owls, and I immediately liked this image when I saw it. My favorite thing about it is the colors. The black and white against the blue is just stunning. And the blue being both in the background and in the eyes is great, too. And I do think that you did an especially nice job with the eyes.

You did a great job with the texture of the feathers as well, however, I think you could have pushed the contrast a little more to make it even better. The body of the owl looks a little flat, and I think it could be solved by making the area where the wing sits in front of the body a bit darker. I struggle with this myself, but I do think that making the body a little darker in that area would improve the image significantly.

This is really beautiful, and I'm sure that your mother will love it. : )
